WHO WE ARE

"It is a waste of time to be angry about my disability. One has to get on with life and I haven't done badly. People won't have time for you if you are always angry or complaining."
                 Stephen Hawking

Our
Mission & Values

We are dedicated to providing employment opportunities for disabled individuals so they can live a fuller, happier life.
Work Plus, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization that understands the need to work is as strong a desire with those with disabilities as for those without.

We believe that everyone has a right to work, and we offer the supports needed to achieve individual employment goals.

We work collaboratively with County, State, and Federal programs to educate the public about disabilities and to provide quality community based support services to adults with Developmental Disabilities, Traumatic Brain Injury, Autism, Cognitive Disabilities, Dual Diagnosed and Physical Disabilities. Our services are matched to individuals in need, without regard to their race, religion, or background.  Since 1985 we've been providing support services to adults with disabilities...and see their lives improve even more.

We strive to create a better world, and we thank the many local businesses and organizations for helping us to achieve that for others.
Individuals with disabilities are first and foremost, individuals. Throughout our country individuals with disabilities are also referred to as "consumers," "special needs," or "challenged." Often times these terms are engaged to improve industry communications and are not intended to be disrespectful in any manner. So, while it all may mean the same, we believe the word individuals simply feels more respectful to family and friends. Please keep this in mind as you peruse our website.
Thank you.

Guiding Principals

Work Plus Inc. recognizes and respects an individual’s right to make choices. We are committed to the development and provision of services that meet the physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs of the individuals we serve.

Our agency strives to provide an accurate assessment of the needs of each individual, and will work with the individual, their families and other support members to develop a program that best meets their needs in the least restrictive environment in the community. We will partner with appropriate community collaborators in an effort to meet the goals and objectives of the individuals served.

It is the continued goal of our organization to maintain flexibility in staff involvement so that as individual needs change, staff can fulfill these needs with a variety of beneficial services while maintaining community involvement.
